Most of Extol of Agnatic Dreams takes place within Braykith, and so there are many more characters that feature from this Kingdom. Part One looked at the Royal family, but this blog will introduce the other major players who influence Evangeline in her quest of surviving Braykith.

CHARACTER: Sigourney
Sigourney is the first person that Evangeline meets from Braykith that she can have a real conversation with. Sigourney is the royal negotiator, and she was sent ahead to ensure that Evangeline had followed Quintus' demands for her travel and not attempting to sneak contraband over the border.
She only recently inherited her job when the former negotiator went against the rules of Braykith and so died as a consequence. It is stories like that which keep Braykith a dangerous place to visit, and for those who chose to stay are seen as something more than human.
Since this improves negotiations, Sigourney is happy for the rumours to continue, even if all of them are lies.
IN TEXT DESCRIPTION: Evangeline was jealous to see her waist wasn’t cinched in with a corset... seemed to be the same cloak the soldiers wore... She introduced herself, tucking her dark hair behind her ear in an attempt to control it.
PLAYED BY: Laura Andrea Schönborn

CHARACTER: Thomas
Thomas is a guard for the Royal family and is often trusted ith the less usual role. He is in deep with the King and Queen and understanding the unique security measures needed to make Braykith safe for her citizens.
He first meets Evangeline early in the book. However, he is too forward with her. She is not accustomed to soldiers speaking so freely. In the end, he becomes her closest confidant, the only person in Braykith she trusts.
IN TEXT DESCRIPTION: smiled at her, flashing perfectly normal teeth... there was nothing remarkable about him... She could barely remember his face...
PLAYED BY: Brenton Thwaites

CHARACTER: Wick
Wick does not speak out of fear. The rumours of Braykith are very real for her. As a young girl, she had participated in acts with Glais, which had left her ruined for the rest of her life. Knowing the fate that awaited her if she should speak of what she witnessed, Wick chose never to utter a word.
Not only does she not speak, but Wick also does not give an indication of mood or inner thought. Robotic and meek, she serves Evangeline. It may seem like Wick does not care, but in fact, the opposite is true. She gave herself the role as Evangeline's servant in hopes of keeping Eva safe from the trials she faced alone as a child.
IN TEXT DESCRIPTION: a mousy girl... servant girl, who still appeared meek and without personality... see the more visible deformities that went beyond just her ability not to speak. Her hair was thin and the colour of muddy water... Her body was malnourished... somewhere during her life the crown had failed her
PLAYED BY: Allie Carter
These are the last of the major players you find in Braykith. The descriptions are only a teaser of the character, the very basic run down on their role within Braykith and Crimah, and more importantly how they are all tied to Evangeline.
