Braykith is precieved by their nieghbours and enemies to look like the loandscape of a Tim Burton film. Evangeline is surprised to find that it looks much like Crimah. The legends of demon worship and dragons are, evidently, dangerously exgerated, and for a sweet few days Eva believes she is safe. The people of Braykith hide a secret, and to speak of it may kill you.

Below is my best choices for the people in my head and how they might look in real life.

CHARACTER: Queen Kyleigh of Braykith

Queen Kyleigh cares for her family and loves her husband. Originally from Eoboven, she was given to King Quintus much like Evangeline is promised to wed Glais. This makes her sympathetic to Evangeline's plight.

She holds onto some of the old traditions of her home country. However, no one would dare say she was not loyal to Braykith. She wants a strong Kingdom to keep her sons safe.

Kyleigh is simple and not a deep thinker. Evangeline never quite trusts that this is simply her personality even after others assure that Kyleigh had always been that way.

IN TEXT DESCRIPTION: Pale skin that bordered on looking sickly... dark red hair that did not seem to compliment naturally with her complexion. The Queen’s hair curled around her face... Light wrinkles decorated her face,

PLAYED BY: Susan Sarandon

CHARACTER: King Quintus of Braykith

King Quintus is supposed to be handsome, witty and charming. You are supposed to feel safe and cared for when he looks at you. You are supposed never to question his motives and believe that all he does is for your best interests.

Quintus is as smart and calculating as you can expect from a King who is under threat, and hiding a curse. He just hides that part of his personality better then Earl Barret does.

he seems to worry more about his eldest son Glais then his younger, giving Baxter more freedoms and ensuring that Glais understands the ins and outs of being a leader. He loves his wife and tries to balance his crown with his family responsibilities.

IN TEXT DESCRIPTION: A chuckle came from the King, a handsome man with a strong jaw that couldn’t be hidden under his meticulously kept beard... his long hair was tied back from his face and hidden from sight.

PLAYED BY: Jared Leto

CHARACTER: Prince Glais of Braykith

Prince Glais carries the same hidden curse of his father, and that is the reason for their striking resemblance. Quintus grew tired of the constant reminder that he grew a beard in an attempt to look older, and Glais shaves to ensure he appears differently to his father.

Glais is serious and believes he knows what is best. it quickly becomes evident that in an effort to protect Evangeline from the evils of Braykith, he hurt her. Forcing Evangeline into an isolation similar to the same way Glais himself lives.

Knowing his duty is to be King, Glais strives for perfection in his daily life. He is never seen as weak or easily manipulated. Like his father, he seems to leave Baxter to his own devices with the firm belief that Baxter will not do harm to himself.

IN TEXT DESCRIPTION: he was handsome... his features were so like his father he could have been a twin... His body was strong... He looked tense, like a trapped wild cat... Glais was no longer the child.

PLAYED BY: Miles McMillan

CHARACTER: Prince Baxter of Braykith

Prince Baxter was given freedoms that Glais was never given from the day he was born. While Glais was carefully trained to replace his father in politics, Baxter was allowed to explore Braykith and make fun where he found it.

As he got older, Baxter came to resent his older brother and felt that their parents favored Glais. He started finding pleasure in taking the few things that Glais wanted. It began when he was just a boy and took the horse that Glais preferred.

His latest conquest of Glais is to take Evangeline out from his brother. He doesn't care of the arrangement has been decided by Quintus and Barret. He doesn't even care how Evangeline feels. Baxter just wants something Glais has.

IN TEXT DESCRIPTION: Baxter appeared to take much more of his mother... His hair was cropped close to his head but even in this light, it was evident that his hair was the same shade of dark red.

PLAYED BY: Lasse Pedersen

CHARACTER: Princess Adeline of Braykith

Unlike her brothers, the only Princess of Braykith completely believes in the royal family and their status. She looks down on those who live under her station; she does not apologise to staff, and Adeline dreams of securing a King as a husband.

As the youngest, she is protected from the worst of Braykith and has no idea how the Kingdom is seen by the outside world. She is a lot like Evangeline, locked in her little bubble with her ladies in waiting who service her every whim.

She only cares is securing a future that allows her to continue to dress good and eat well. Because of her age, she does not feature heavily in the novel. When she does show up, Adeline is not seen without her mother.

IN TEXT DESCRIPTION: Only thirteen and Adeline was rebellious as much as she dared... She had inherited her mother’s hair although it was brighter than Baxter’s...she seemed delicate and Evangeline was betting the girl did not go anywhere without armed guards

PLAYED BY: Karlee O'Donnell

That is the royal family of Braykith. Doing this I have realised how much back ground information I have collected on the difference characters that never made it into the novel. Coming soon will be the rest of the wish list for Braykith (the non-royals). In the meantime, check out my Kindle Scout campaign and reqd the first chapters of Extol of Agnatic Dreams. If the campaign is successful, and if you nominated the book, you will recive the full ebook version.
