a little early

I was supposed to save this for when I reached the first-week milestone. I wanted to share with you all how the campaign has been going so far, analyse my marketing techniques and also a small glimpse at Extol of Agnatic Dreams - just half a chapter teaser. I had all of this planned for Sunday.
And then today happened. I woke up trending. It is an incredible sense of relief and accomplishment to wake up trending because for that time you can't be active in advertising (or threats). So, I woke up on a high and then instantly feared to drop out of that list because my Thursdays are a traditionally busy.
I checked in when I could and every time I was trending. I still have my facebook and twitter ads running. I am sure some of my friends are still finding the email that I sent on day one. There are a variety of ways I am still begging for people's support but it is surprising to see that I managed to stay on that list for a full 24 hours.
After I stared at the screen and high-fived my partner for this milestone being passed, I needed to get my head back in the game because the reality is far less attractive than it might seem. I still have twenty-five days to go. As far as my efforts are concerned, there is no time to rest.
I have come much closer to the sun than I thought that I could. These first few days I feel very blessed to see results for my hard work. Writing is hard work, regardless of how people feel about it. it is so much more than just putting one work in front of the other to create a sentence. The fact that people are liking it, people I possible do not know, is amazing and I can't wait for my Sunday blog.
